Guitarist Jim Head has performed with such notable jazz artists as Kirk MacDonald, Tim Hagans, Sheila Jordan, Lew Tabackin, Rob McConnell, Jane Bunnett, P.J. Perry, Doug Riley, Dave Restivo, Campbell Ryga, Kieran Overs, Jim Vivian, Andrew Downing, David Virelles, Steve Slagle, Kelly Jefferson, Lina Allemano, Chris Tarry, Pat LaBarbera, Hugh Fraser, Steve Wallace, and many others. He has performed in festivals, concerts and clubs across Canada, the U.S., China, and Mexico, and has been featured on numerous CD recordings.
A graduate of the McGill University B.Mus. and M.Mus programs in Jazz Performance, Jim has been the Guitar Section Head at Grant MacEwan University in Edmonton since 2007.
