Brent Campbell continues to be active in music education, arts management and development at the local, national and international level with a drive and determination that have earned him a reputation as the "go-to" person when things need doing.

Having grown up in Toronto he studied music in upstate New York and received a Bachelor of Music Education degree from SUNY Potsdam in 1981. "Those were some of the best years of my life and I learned so much not only at the Crane School of Music which was fabulous but from the people I met there and continue to stay in touch with today." A Master of Music Education from Brandon University followed in 1989 and he has since taught public school and university courses in music performance, education and technology.

Arts administration continues to be a passion and focus of his professional life. He has served on numerous Boards including six years on the Executive Board of the International Association for Jazz Education (IAJE). He is the past Director of the University of Manitoba Summer Jazz Camp and past President of IAJE Canada. He spent 13 years on the trombone faculty of the Mile High Jazz Camp in Boulder, Colorado, and worked for several years for Jazz At Lincoln Center as the Canadian consultant for the Essentially Ellington program.

At the annual IAJE (International Association for Jazz Education) conference held in New York City January 10 -13, 2007, Brent was presented with the 2007 IAJE Jazz Ambassador Award as selected by vote of the IAJE Past Presidents Council, the IAJE International Coordinator and the IAJE Executive Board. Mr. Campbell was recognized for making a significant impact on jazz education by developing a strong IAJE presence in Canada. Upwards of 8,000 educators, musicians, industry executives, media and students from 45 countries were in attendance. Brent currently serves as the Director of the Brandon Jazz Festival, as Executive Director of IAJE Canada, as the Administrative Officer of the Brandon Chamber Players and is the Canadian Jazz Representative for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music in London, England. He teaches music at Vincent Massey High School and runs an Arts Consulting and Management company with clients in Canada, the U.S. and Europe. He lives in Brandon, Manitoba, Canada with his wife Caroline and their three children, Emily, Duncan and Meredith.

Roger is a Ph.D. candidate in Music Education at the University of Toronto, where he conducts the Hart House Symphonic Band and directs the Royal Conservatory of Music Jazz Ensemble. For fourteen years he taught concert and jazz bands at the junior and senior high level in Oakbank, Winnipeg, Brandon, and Dauphin. He has directed jazz ensembles at Brandon University and the University of Manitoba, and was a saxophonist with the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra for eight years. Roger has performed at Rainbow Stage, and with the Saskatoon and Winnipeg Symphony Orchestras. Over the years, has also been the Director of the University of Manitoba Summer Jazz Camp, the Coordinator of the Brandon Jazz Festival, a faculty member at the Mile High Jazz Camp in Boulder, Colorado, and the Newsletter Editor for IAJE-Canada.
